QUIET POWER

Blue Moonset

Recently I have been drawn to add more quiet into my daily life.  I saw Susan Cane discussing her book, * Power  of Quiet: The Power of Introverts in a World that Can't Stop Talking.  You said it!

"Can't Stop Talking!"  HELP~

24/7 News, Talk Radio, Endless Music, Video, scheduled, on demand, live stream, "That's Entertainment~"

I run away...to my art room, my creative joyful "space and timeless."

Right NOW I am enjoying a quiet "time" in solitude.  Cats are dormant, that's a good thing.  I feel refreshed, at peace.

**  OK, there is music floating along!  I love Music, All Kinds.  Music is quieting for me, especially on "repeat track."  Repeating one track over and over is very calming and centering for me.  Creativity is fueled by the rhythm and tones floating along in predictable order.  Sometimes I sing.

I can hear my Dad loud and clear, "You have a one track mind!"

Today I am typing in silence.  No singing yet.  Then I start up humming a bit, aware of the music, yet tapping into the joy of writing.

Now I cut, paste, and splice the writing and pictures into the zone of creative imagination:

Randomly writing now, effortlessly:
Creativity is a blend of introvert and extrovert.

Shyness?  Think Creative Solitude

Self reflection even daydreaming and lucid dreams may spark creative moments and projects.  Think Einstein

SPRING FORWARD

Spring flowering plants greeted me this morning as I left Tai Chi class.  They were in a small decorated container.  How gentle they were reaching for the sun.  Pretty soon the grass will shoot up very green!  Every spring I am stunned at the vibrant carpet of April to come.

Kitties love the warmer days There goes a streak of gold across the yard!  That's our Orange cat running for the joy of it.  Children and adults go out to walk, run, and play.  The beach begins to call.

Spring skies are here.  We love it!

* I thought back many years and recovered an ink brush drawing with Words of Inspiration

Green and white remind me of fresh wintergreen.  Our many checkered paths reach out to converge, combine, and renew each other and ourselves.

Happy Spring!

REFLECT

Reflected Sunlight on a painting shows hidden blue that usually doesn't show!

A white figure appears in the light, look near the steps, see the light showing outstretched arms. Shifting sunlight only lasts a few seconds~

* "LEARN

DEVISE

EXPRESS

REFLECT," Shirley MacLaine

How like the creative process~How like life itself.

What are my insights?
* Learn:  Can I learn to simplify and organize both hard copy, items, and online files?  Help!

Devise: How can I do tasks better, efficiently, effortlessly and calmly?  Can I be more patient?  A great break:  catching moments with digital light is a joy of creative photography.  Devising a painting gives depth to life, "How am I going to paint that?"

Express Paint and Words, hands down

Reflect:  Tai Chi, Qigong and Yoga practice plus seated meditation and music set a balance and quiet power in the day/night as needed.

What are your experiences/feelings?
