CURTAIN CALL

"Preparing to Scan"

Drawing the Curtain

In the previous post, Drawing the Curtain,  I thought about "drapery studies" but, until today, I didn't have "time" to try one.  Interesting as the pen made lace-like effects from the solid print curtain on its rod.

Drawing the curtain is hard!  I want something easy....How about:

Drawing the Puppy

Drawing a puppy from memory is fun, no specific animal, free of agenda, mind on autopilot, an evolving door.  Steps of drawing an animal friend are suggested, go lightly at first, then darken as the images becomes more clear and sure.

Details

Now for a more specific dog.  To fix "Blue" more in my memory bank, I add "details" such as eye color, coat color, expression, personality and feeling freedom with the sketch.  Sketching is more powerful than we think!

"Preparing to Write"

1-2-3 JRNL
*I heard a suggestion today about daily self care.  Grab a journal or a piece of paper and write free style about anything at all for only three minutes.  You can shred it afterward if you like.

"I can do that!"

Here's what I wrote:

Standing on the precipice of writing, I feel like I'm standing on the high dive.

I look down into the shimmering crystal turquoise water.

What do I  feel?  Think?
Unknown

Where am I?
Unknown

Who am I?
Unknown

A grain of sand in the ocean of time
I AM
